Project Overview

Bayan Consulting is a recently established consulting firm based in Savannah, Georgia. I was approached with creating a brand and identity for the newly-formed firm that calls back to it's Filipino-American background and the Filipino tradition of Bayanihan.

Story

Bayan - which translates to “town” in Tagalog - refers to the Filipino custom of Bayanihan, which originates from the practice of volunteers in a community helping a family move by carrying the house itself. At its essence, Bayanihan is the practice of helping one another in times of need and putting community and relationships first.

Primary Logo

Reflecting Bayan's strong emphasis on relationships and helping one another.

Bahay Kubo

Calling back to the central figure of the Bayanihan spirit - the Bahay Kubo. Communities would come together to lift these stilt houses all in the name of helping a neighbor.

Secondary Logo

Bayanihan

Referencing the Filipino custom of Bayanihan - which saw community members coming together to help families move by carrying the house itself. All this represents the Filipino custom of unity and helping one another in times of need.
